Move of the Day ~ Plyo

Let me tell you, 21 Day Fix Extreme is AMAZING. It's giving me a GREAT workout in just 30 minutes!!

In typical Autumn fashion, she leaves what I think was the hardest move of the workout, for LAST! and Instead of 30 seconds, it's 1 minute long! It wiped me out!

Here it is! My version and my kiddos version...I'd say theirs is much easier! ;-) Think you can do my version for a whole minute...warning...it's HARD! lol Give it a try!

Spaghetti Squash Casserole ~ Taco Style!

Ingredients:

-1 lb ground chicken or turkey
-Taco Seasoning (salt, garlic powder, cumin, paprika, chili powder, dash of cayenne pepper)
-Red Onion
-Spinach (1 cup chopped)
-Tomato
-Shredded cheese (cheddar/mozzarella)
-1 Spaghetti Squash


Cook the ground the chicken, drain the fat, add a little water and season with the taco seasoning. While that is cooking, chop up your tomato, spinach and onion. 

In meantime cook the spaghetti squash (slice in half, season with salt/pepper) and place skin side up on a cookie sheet on 375 for 30 minutes and once that is done scoop out the spaghetti and mix it in a bowl with the rest of the ingredients. I added the cheese on top and baked in the oven until it was melted

Chicken Parmigiana Burgers


Ingredients:

-16 oz lean chicken burgers or 1 lb ground chicken formed into patties
-4 oz part skim mozzarella cheese
-1 cup sauce (I make my own)
-4 rolls such as ciabatta rolls or your bread of choice...I usually use ezekeil bread.

Directions:

Heat the sauce; cook burgers 2-3 minutes on each side. Top with cheese; when melted put on a roll and top with sauce.Weight Watchers Points: 8

How will it work?
Team Beachbody members will automatically have unlimited access to stream workouts from a list of Beachbody’s most popular fitness programs. Once logged into TeamBeachbody.com- Club members will select the Start Streaming tab from the home page, choose any fitness program in the streaming library, and stream any wokout from the program!
What fitness programs will be available in the Beachbody digital library?
Immediately upon Beachbody On Demand launch, Club members will have unlimited access to stream many of Beachbody’s best sellers. Members will also be able to stream any workouts available in the Insider Access catalogue. Insider Access provides individual sample workouts of some of Beachbody’s newest and bestselling programs to give Club members a taste of the program before they decide to buy. Will fitness programs that are available as part of the Beachbody On Demand catalog still be available for purchase as DVDs?
Yes. Some people still want to own DVDs. High speed Internet access is not available to everyone.  Also, purchasing DVDs creates permanent ownership.  On Demand users only have access to streaming Beachbody On Demand programs only as long as they are paid Club members.  Of course, those On Demand programs no longer produced in DVD format will only be available in the On Demand catalog.
Are other Challenge Packs going away with the release of Beachbody On Demand?
No. By combining fitness, drinking Shakeology daily, and a Coach’s motivation and support, Challenge Packs remain the best solution for people to get results. Popular and top-selling products will continue to be offered in Challenge Packs.
Will the price of the Club membership increase?
The price is not increasing in Spring 2015, but may increase in the future.
Will a customer need to buy the fitness program to stream?
No. Programs inside the digital library come with paid membership.
Will streaming workouts be available on Beachbody.com too?
No. They are exclusive to TeamBeachbody Club members.
Will Club members be able to stream workouts internationally?

Donkey Kicks!

Ok! Let's talk about Donkey Kicks! Ever hear of them? Well if not they are evil, just take my word for it lol Thanks Tony Horton! 

Ok so these of course are strategically placed as the last exercise of one of my favorite workouts, The Accelerator from P90x3 and they are extremely difficult after you've just busted your ass for 30 minutes! So he basically wants you to kick yourself up into a handstand, come down and lift one arm up and one leg...see if you can follow along with my short video clip here. He has you do this for an entire minute..think you can do it?? As you can see in my clip...I lose my steam FAST lol ;-)

Buffalo Chicken Stuffed Spaghetti Squash


I'm not sure about any of you, but I have a small obsession with buffalo chicken...anything! 
I wanted to try something different tonight and what I came up with was so easy and oh so GOOD! Please not that I am terrible at measuring things...but these are the ingredients I used:

Buffalo Chicken Stuffed Spaghetti Squash
-1 lb Ground Chicken
-1 Spaghetti Squash (cut in half, guts scooped out)
-Buffalo Sauce of your choice
-Chopped tomato
-Chopped red onion
-Shredded Mozzarella Cheese
-Shredded Cheddar Cheese

I seasoned the spaghetti squash, placed on a cookie sheet, skin side up and cooked for 30 mins on 375. In the meantime, I cooked the ground chicken on the stove top and added in the buffalo sauce. While that was cooking I chopped up the tomato and onion and put aside in a bowl with the cheese. Once the ground chicken was done, I added that to the bowl with the tomato,onion and cheese. By this time, the spaghetti squash was done and i scooped out the "meat" and added it to the bowl with everything else and mixed it up really well. Then I filled the spaghetti squash with the mixture and popped it back in the over for 10-15 mins. 5 minutes before I took it out I added a little more cheese on top...

Me? Speak on a Team Call..WHAT?


You ever have those days you wake up and you just, you feel off? Today was one of those days. Regardless of that, I dragged myself out of bed fed the kids, had my coffee and I was even lucky enough to get a shower in lol that’s a sacred thing as a Mom, right?? Anyway, I went about my day as usual, still just feeling sort of “blah” but going thru the motions. Luckily my mother agreed to watch the kids for a few hours so I could get some things done. I was doing my thing when I received a message from a fellow Beachbody Coach from another team. She went to HS with my husband and her daughter goes to school with my niece and happened to see my name on a Top 10 List for Massachusetts Success Club Earners with Beachbody and was super sweet in sharing it with me since I was not able to view it myself. J I know most of you probably have no idea what that means, but basically it means I have helped MANY people get started on their health & fitness journeys. #soblessed She then asked me if I’d want to be a guest speaker on one of her team calls…WHAT?  ME? Speak on another TEAMS call? For anyone that knows me well, knows this scares the crap out of me lol I have terrible stage fright and clam up when I have to speak in front of large amounts of people. Way, way out of my comfort zone!! However I am SO honored she’d like ME to talk to her team about how I have been so successful thus far, what I do on a daily basis and what has helped me get to my goals. That changed my day. :-) I am so blessed to be in the position I am in. I'm able to help not only myself but also help OTHERS become happier and healthier! Ah. Mind blowing. I've always loved the health and fitness world. So thankful I'm finally part of it. So…what can I do to prepare myself for this call...mentally? lol Besides partaking in some wine consumption? ;-) Anyone have some tips for me? I'd greatly appreciate them! Thanks so much!

Snack Time!

Snacks...anyone else struggle with these? I have found my new favorite snack! :-)

A sliced up apple (I prefer Gala or Honey Crisp) topped with cinnamon, 1/2 tbsp of melted peanut butter and a few dark chocolate chips on top! It's amazing! Give it try!
